Lyme disease is on the increase, though still rare. Worker’s exposure to infected ticks is taken into account in activity risk assessments, but what do we do about visitors? Access to most sites is not just via the car park and/or visitor centre but on rights of way. The wider countryside is just as big a natural reservoir for hosts as any of our sites and we don’t want to spend all our time dreaming up signs of ever increasing alarmist information when the visitor’s drive to get to site was a lot more risky than anything they do on site. So what are you all doing to warn the lawful visitor of the beast within?
